Hailing from the NSW Central Coast, Lauren Moore is one of the youngest debutants for the NSW Swifts in the history of the Club, joining the team in 2016 at the age of 17.  In her 5 years, she’s had many ups and downs. In 2016, she lost a Grand Final, in 2017/2018, she was not contracted as a fulltime player and in the last 2 years, she’s had 2 shoulder surgeries that have kept her off the court, even in the 2019 Grand Final win. However, despite her hardships, when The Kids’ Cancer Project visited the team this year, all of her problems were suddenly put into perspective. After learning that 950 children will be diagnosed with cancer each year and 150 of those will die, Loz decided the least she could do was shave her head in order to raise some funds and awareness for those kids who are suffering.

Loz will be shaving her head on Friday 24 April 2020 to raise vital funds for childhood cancer research. Please donate – you can make a difference and help find a cure!

The Kids' Cancer Project

The Kids’ Cancer Project is an independent national charity dedicated to supporting childhood cancer research. Kids' cancer is different to adult cancer. Current treatments like radiation and chemotherapy are very harsh causing many kids to develop side-effects long after treatment has ended.

If you believe science is the solution join us. By working together, we will make a difference to help kids with cancer.
